Rome — A new US $119.2 million programme in the Sudan has been designed to increase food security, and improve incomes and climate resilience for pastoralist communities by strengthening their access to markets and technologies.
Amira Daoud Hassan Gornass, Permanent Representative, the Republic of the Sudan to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Agencies in Rome and Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Italy, and Kanayo F. Nwanze, President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), signed the grant agreement at IFAD headquarters today to finance the Livestock Marketing and Resilience Programme.
