Tanzania: Encouraging Girls to Work Hard for Future

DEPUTY Minister for Justice and Consitutional Affairs Ms Ummy Mwalimu, believes a lot could be achieved to help young girls overcome their negative attitudes towards education and themselves "I always ask girls to look at me.

I laboured to attain my education. I went to school on foot to Usagara Secondary from Mwambani Mchukuuni. I had only one goal-to reach the heights and here I am," said Ummy at the launching of the Tanga Women Development Initiative (TAWODE).
