Egypt/Nigeria: Fifa Election Candidates Head to CAF Congress in Cairo

AFRICAN football will have to get through an unusually large load of serious business but their congress in Cairo this week will nevertheless be overshadowed by the latest stop in the election campaign for the FIFA presidency, writes Reuters.

The three candidates vying to unseat incumbent Sepp Blatter will all be in the Egyptian capital for tomorrow's Confederation of African Football (CAF) Congress to canvas support on a continent expected to be solidly behind the FIFA president as he bids for a fifth successive term in office.
