Ethiopia: Toiling Up the Hills for Fast Urbanization

Very recently in connection with the upcoming 5th round general elections , the ruling party and other contesting parties held hot debate on the nation's urban and industry policy. During the debate , it was noted that the country has been registering considerable progress putting in place the necessary infrastructural facilities in almost all cities and towns of the nation.

To cite some of the success stories made possible through this policy are , for example , a huge number of Addis Ababa's city slum dwellers are being resettled to much better residential areas which have modern housing complexes than ever before .
