President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has assured the National Union of Organizations of the Disabled (NUOD) that her administration remains committed to adopt an open government that will foster the mainstreaming of persons with disabilities in national governance, policy, political and development processes of the country.
"We are one people entitled to equity and equal opportunity," the Liberian leader stressed. She assured her administration will not allow disability to be a disadvantage to their participation in the collective development of the country and promised continued support.
