North Africa: Celebrating Arab Culture in Constantine, Is Learning How to Live Together, Says Irina Bokova

CONSTANTINE (Algeria)- Celebrating Arab culture in the city of Constantine is also a way to learn "how to live together" and a way of "anchor in minds, the culture of peace", Executive Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Irina Bokova said Sunday in Constantine (432km east of Algiers).

Speaking at the University Constantine-1 during the launch of the International Year of Light, Bokova who was accompanied by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mohamed Mebarki, said that throughout Algeria's history, the City of Bridges is the city that symbolizes the "cultural diversity" and "shows way to tolerance."
