Tanzania: Stop Albino Plight, Kikwete Tells Clergy

Shinyanga — PRESIDENT Jakaya Kikwete has urged religious leaders to work closely with the government through their sermons and prayers to end killings of people with albinism and elderly due to warped beliefs associated with witchcraft.

The president was confident that religious teachings could transform the public and do away with ill beliefs which have made some to believe that they can attain wealth and luck through use of body parts of people with albinism.
