Mozambique: Governor Urges Vigilance Against "Strange Movements"

Maputo — The governor of Maputo province, Raimundo Diomba, on Monday urged the population of Magude district to remain vigilant, and denounce any “strange movements”, so as not to be surprised by any “activities which undermine peace and natural unity”.

Diomba was clearly referring to units of the illegal militia operated by the main opposition party, the former rebel movement Renamo, which is known to be trying to infiltrate men into Maputo province.
