Mozambique: Nyusi Concerned At Stalemate in Dialogue

Chokwe — Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi on Monday expressed his concern at the apparently interminable dialogue between delegations from the government and the former rebel movement Renamo, which began in Maputo two years ago.

Speaking at a rally in Chilembene, in Chokwe district, in the southern province of Gaza, Nyusi for the first time qualified the term “dialogue”, which he has used repeatedly since he took office in mid-January, making clear that he was not in favour of dialogue for dialogue's sake, but wanted results.
