GOVERNMENTG said on Monday it is suspending payment of bonus to civil servants for the next two years due to budgetary constraints.
Finance and Economic Development Minister Patrick Chinamasa told journalists that the decision, which cabinet had endorsed, was part of measures the government was exploring to contain the high recurrent expenditure which includes the wage bill currently amounting to 82 percent of the country's budget.
