The AfDB will be participating in a high-level panel on water infrastructure financing as well as key sessions of the Africa Regional Process led by the African Ministers' Council on Water, which will examine the status of water in Africa.

With support from the Korea Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC) Trust Fund, the AfDB is supporting the participation of 30 African representatives at the Forum to ensure that the continent's voice is heard at this important global water event.

The World Water Forum takes place every three years since 1997. The World Water Forum consists of at least three processes: the political process, the thematic process and the regional process. Each topic is developed in cooperation with the private sector, governments, industry, intergovernmental organizations (IGOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and academic groups into a common framework of goals and concrete targets to reach.
