Tanzania: Japan Funds Training of Workers On Water Issues

THE government, in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), has embarked on a Rural Water and Sanitation Capacity Development (RUWASA-CAD) programme to offer training on water issues to individual staff members at district level.

Senior JICA Representative in Tanzania, Mr Kuniaki Amatsu, said in a press statement released yesterday that the training, which is aimed at enhancing administrative capabilities, will involve officials working with the Ministry of Water and local government authorities (LGAs).
