Algeria: Weapon Smuggling Attempt Foiled At Algerian-Malian Border

Algiers — People's National Army forces thwarted Friday an attempt to smuggle a quantity of weapons and ammunition through the Algerian-Malian border, the ministry of National Defence has said in a statement.

"As part of counterterrorism actions and border security measures, a People's National Army detachment from the operational sector of Adrar (3rd military command) foiled today, 17 April 2015, an attempt to smuggle a quantity of weapons and munitions," the source said.
