Liberia: Jeety 'Innocent' Verdict Upheld - Court Rules in 'Fraud' Lease Case

Monrovia — Indian businessman Upjit Singh Sachdeva known as (Jeety), has scored a milestone victory after the Supreme Court of Liberia declared him innocent of a fraudulent lease agreement allegation.

The long-running case stems from arguments made by on September 21, 2012, by Madam Bindu Fatumata Dukuly, a Liberian woman residing in Dubai, the United Arabs Emirates who had filed a petition before the Civil Law Court, for the "Cancellation of Lease Agreement for Fraud" against Mr. Sachdeva and Paul Raspal, general manager of Sethi Brothers Incorporated.
