Marc Gwamaka, 27, is the brain behind the Walk to Remember, an annual event that begun in 2009 in remembrance of the over one million lives lost in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
The Walk has attracted people from all walks of life, including international heavyweights and Rwandans both young and old. The New Times asks how Gwamaka founded the walk and what his inspiration was in doing so.
