Liberia: Court Denies Urey's Motion for Severance Trial

The Presiding Judge of Criminal Court "C" at the Temple of justice in Monrovia, Peter W. Gbenewelleh, has denied the motion for severance trial filed by former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Company (NOCAL), Mr. Clemenceau Urey.

Urey, along with nine others, was arrested early February and charged with economic sabotage, bribery and criminal conspiracy for allegedly illegally using funds belonging to NOCAL, according to the Liberia News Agency.
