Tanzania: 12 Bukoba Villages to Get Solar Power Connection

Bukoba — DEPUTY Minister for Energy, Mr Charles Mwijage, has disclosed that residents in 12 villages of Kelebe, Bumbiile, Mazinga, Ikuza and Goziba wards in Lake Victoria Archipelago, are scheduled to get solar power connectivity before August 30, this year.

Mr Mwijage told the 'Daily News' that a team of experts from Rural Energy Agency (REA), Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Contractors from Remote Solution and development partners from the United States (US) are scheduled to visit the Island-locked villages between April 29 to May 1, this year.
