Nigeria: Lagos Targets 4.5 Million Children for Polio Immunisation

Lagos — As part of the strategy to maintain the six-year polio-free record, the Lagos State government is planning to the immunise 4.5 million children in the state, about 200,000 more than those immunised during the first round in March.

The governor's Special Adviser on Public Health, Dr. Yewande Adeshina, disclosed this on Thursday while briefing the media and stakeholders on the second round of the National Immunisation Plus Days (NIPDs), which begins on Saturday.
