Sierra Leone: Man Convicted for Assault On Police

One Thanie Deen has been fined Le800,000 with an alternative of six months in prison for assaulting a police officer who was executing her lawful duty.

Deen was convicted on four counts of assault on a police officer, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, disorderly behaviour and public insult and provocation by presiding magistrate of the Freetown Magistrates' Courts No. 2, Albert J. Moody yesterday.
