Maiduguri — Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, yesterday appealed to the federal and state governments to offer special scholarship opportunities to students who can no longer be supported by their parents as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency.
Njodi noted that thousands of students can no longer continue with their studies, especially at the tertiary level, because they have either lost their breadwinners or their parents have lost their sources of income.
