South Africa: Seven Busloads of Mozambicans Leave Durban

Maputo — Seven buses, containing over 500 Mozambicans fleeing from the anti-foreigner pogroms in South Africa, left the South African city of Durban on Wednesday, heading for the transit centre at Boane, about 30 kilometres west of Maputo.

According to Rocha Nuvunga, the Maputo provincial delegate of the Mozambican relief agency, the National Disaster Management Institute (INGC), cited in Thursday's issue of the Maputo daily “Noticias”, 42 tents have been erected to accommodate the victims.
