Jalingo — Taraba State is one of the three states in the country which governorship elections were declared inconclusive. The other two are Abia and Imo states, and all three states would hold the rerun election today.
In Taraba, the declaration was made by the returning officer, Professor Mohammed Kyai, the Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola at the Jalingo INEC Office meant that a successor for outgoing governor, Danbaba Suntai will now emerge via a re-run election on Saturday, April 25.
