Nigeria: From Adeboye to a Sikh Temple

I thought of the Sausage row in the UK and how Nigerians have been challenged by corruption in politics and how gratifications have become democracy's big albatross. With the endless issues on money politics, bribery of electoral officers and stomach infrastructure, (SI) the future looks bleak. Nigerians are learning democracy from advanced countries, especially their colonial masters. Ayo Fayose may pride himself as major proponent of SI, but if he casts his mind back to UK, where he was a taxi driver, he will see how UKIP parliamentary candidate, Kim Rose, was accused of trying to bribe voters in his Southampton Itchen constituency by giving them sausage rolls!

UK Electoral Commission forbids food and entertainment. It is considered "corrupt influence". Can you imagine any politician not giving "stomach infrastructure" to voters in Nigeria today?
