TWENTY six Tanzanians returned home on Saturday from South Africa following xenophobic attacks. According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the group of Tanzanians, that arrived at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) aboard Fastjet at 5 am.
The statement cited that the nationals were based at an emergency shelter in Isipingo and Phoenix within Durban and were escorted back by an officer from the Tanzania High Commission in South Africa, Mr Elibahati Lowassa.
