Gambia, Guinea Bissau Discuss Business Opportunities

A delegation of potential Gambian investors met with Guinea Bissau's minister of Commerce at San Domingo, where the two parties discussed investment opportunities in that Portuguese speaking country.

Gambian stakeholders in the cashew nut trade over the weekend traveled to Guinea Bissau's provincial town, a region widely known for cashew production, to attend the annual launching of the trade season. The Guinea Bissau embassy in Banjul facilitated their trip and Modammed Deen, adviser, Office of Trade and Investment at the Embassy, led them. The delegation was made up of business executives and officials from the Cashew Alliance of The Gambia, as well as representatives from the Scanning System Gambia Ltd., the media, among other officials from the Bissau embassy Banjul office.
