Cairo — Packaged water that was unfit for human consumption is the cause of the poisoning of hundreds in Egypt's Nile Delta governorate of Sharqiya, the health minister said on Wednesday.
Health Minister Adel el-Adawi said water packed in multi-gallon containers had high rates of bacteria, adding that lead was found in several bottles, a cabinet statement said.
