Africa: 43 Percent Less Women Online Than Men in Sub-Saharan Africa - Cisco

Lagos — As Nigeria joined the rest of the world to mark 2015 Girls in ICT day, time factor has been identified as challenge slowing girls adoption of technology with 43percent fewer women online than men in Sub-Saharah Africa.

The Chief Executive Officer, Youth for Technology Foundation, Mrs. Njideka Harry who spoke via tele conference at Cisco office in Lagos to address female secondary school students at the first Cisco 'Girls Power Tech' mentoring sessions in Nigeria said International Telecommunications Union (ITU) reports shows that globally, 200million fewer women are online than their men counterparts.
