Algeria: Need to Extend Algerian-Cuban Partnership to Biotechnology in Coming Years, Stresses Cuban Official

Algiers — Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment in Cuba stressed Sunday in Algiers the need to extend the partnership between Algeria and Cuba to biotechnology in the coming years.

Speaking at the audience granted to him by Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abdelmalek Boudiaf the Cuban vice-minister said that the Algerian-Cuban cooperation "covers several aspects in the field of health, including eye surgery, oncology and maternal and child health," adding the two sides agreed to expand their cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry, particularly biotechnology.
