The region of La Gaulette is now equipped with a modern police station with all necessary facilities. The inauguration of the new police station was held on Saturday 2 May 2015 in the presence of the Commissioner of Police, Mr Mario Nobin and the President of the District Council of Black River, members of religious bodies, the private sector and officers of the police force.
