Liberia: Bomi Muslims Write UNMIL, Legislative Caucus

The Association of Mandingos and Muslims in Bomi County has petitioned the Bomi's Legislative Caucus, UNMIL, Civil Society Group of Bomi and the National Muslim Council of Liberia to intervene in the immediate release of one of their sons, allegedly kidnapped and forcefully initiated into the traditional fraternity, Poro Society of Bomi.

A release from the group says the 23 years old male victim remains in custody of the Poro, after many unsuccessful attempts to have the police and county administration intervene for his release.
