This country is on the slippery slope to self- destruction. This beautiful nation of 25 million inhabitants, the first in sub-Saharan Africa to throw off the colonial yoke and held in the comity of nations as the country to lead Black Africa out of its economic mess, is sinking and very fast.
We all know it. But, like ostriches, we have all buried our heads in the sand, while all around us, there is anarchy and decay. Like most third world nations, Ghana has had its fair share of economic problems over the years. But, this nation so restructured after the 19 years of misadventure under Jerry Rawlings that we suddenly realised in 2010 that we had left the rest of the third world behind and entered the league of Middle Income Nations while we all slept in 2007.
