The declining performance of few quoted firms which have so far made their first quarter results available to the Nigerian Stock Exchange has underscored the urgency of the need for private sector players to re-order their priorities, reports Festus Akanbi
From whichever angle one wants to view the performances of the conglomerates and other key quoted companies in the first quarter of the year, there is certainly little to cheer about considering the dwindling performance posted in the period under review in contrast to a season of modest gains in the same period of last year.
