Nigeria: BBOG Group Raises the Alarm Over Worsening State of IDP Camps

The BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) group has raised the alarm over the worsening humanitarian conditions in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps and settlements in the Federal Capital Territory and other states.

Addressing newsmen on the #BBOGCountdownToMay 29 intiative, a member of the group, Aisha Yesufu, who read the statement signed by the leader of the group, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, stated that there have been reports of the dearth of basic amenities like food, water and shelter in IDP camps and reminded the government that its responsibility does not stop at rescuing citizens from terror as it also includes protecting and taking care of them.
