AN innovative programme launched in neighbouring Kenya in October, last year, is showing encouraging results in the fight against the scourge of hypertension in Africa.
Christened Healthy Heart Africa (HHA), the programme was unveiled by AstraZeneca (AZ), a global biopharmaceutical firm, in collaboration with non-governmental and community- based organizations, health experts and governments, mainly to tackle hypertension and cardiovascular disease in the continent.
