Cuito — At least 6.508 various landmines were deactivated by demining operators in Angola, from 2002 until 2014 in order to ensure the movement of people and goods.
The information was provided on Thursday in Cuito city, central Bié province, by the planning advisor of the National Interministerial Commission of Demining and Humanitarian Assistance (CNIDAH), Augusto Santana, when presented the landmines situation in the country.
