Uganda: Barya to Step Down As UTAMU Vice Chancellor

Over two years after he left the vice chancellor's office at Makerere University to start Uganda Technology and Management University (Utamu), Prof Venansius Baryamureeba will again step down in March 2016.

Baryamureeba, who has been at the helm of Utamu for two years now, says he wants to pave way for a new vice chancellor at the fast-growing institution. The news was broken by the chairperson of the Utamu University Council, Dr Joseph Kasumba Ssewanyana, last week, at the university's campus in Bugolobi.
