The federal government's Presidential Committee on Flood Relief and Rehabilitation yesterday flagged off the building of two blocks of hostel in Makurdi, Benue State to serve as a permanent shelter for people who will be affected in any future natural disaster.
Leader of the committee's delegation, John Owiocho while briefing the state's deputy governor, Chief Steven Lawani about the project said that each of the two blocks would be expected to house male and female victims separately. He puts the cost of the project at N300 million.
