Algeria: Signing of Peace Agreement in Mali - Japan Hails Algeria's "Considerable" Efforts

Algiers — Japan hailed the "considerable" efforts made by the Algerian government that led to the signing last Friday in Bamako of the peace and reconciliation agreement in Mali, resulting from Algiers process.

"Japan welcomes the peace and reconciliation agreement on the inclusive peace talks in Algiers, signed on 15 May in Bamako between the Government of Mali and the armed groups in northern Mali," said a statement from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent Tuesday to APS.
