West Africa: President Sirleaf Extols a Successful 47th ECOWAS Summit

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has expressed deep appreciation on behalf of the Authority to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama of Ghana and the Government and people of the West African nation for the warm hospitality extended the various Heads of State and delegations in a truly African fashion and for the excellent facilities placed at their disposal to ensure the success of the Summit.

According to a Dispatch from Accra, Ghana, the Liberian leader, speaking on behalf of her colleagues at the end of 47th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, thanked outgoing ECOWAS Authority Chairman, President Mahama, for his commitment to peace, security and good governance. She also lauded the Ghanaian leader for his remarkable leadership in steering the affairs of the regional community.
