Algeria: Military Operation in Bouira - Army Recovers Large Quantity of Weapons

Algiers — The People's National Army (ANP) recovered Wednesday in a large quantity of arms and ammunition including a RPG7-type rocket launchers and anti-tank rockets, part of the continuation of a joint operation by several detachments in this province, the Ministry of National Defence announced.

"In continuation of the quality joint operation conducted yesterday (Tuesday) by detachments of the ANP under the operational areas of Bouira, Blida and Boumerdes (1st military region), near the locality of the Ferkioua (province of Bouira) today Wednesday 20 May 2015, and after combing the area, a (1) RPG7-type rocket launcher, a (1) FMPK-type machine gun, three (3) anti-tank rockets, 14 kilograms of TNT and detonating cords. Besides, a large quantity of ammunition were recovered, "said the same source in a statement.
