Sudanese Novelist Wins Major Regional Award

Doha — The Sudanese novelist Amir Taj al-Sir is among the five Arab novelists who won the Qatari Arab Novel Award "Katara", the biggest prize of its kind in the Arab world.

The award was launched last year by the state of Qatar to promote novel writing in the Arab countries and help introduce Arab prominent novelists to the world through translation of their literary works.
