Port Harcourt — Rivers State has been in the news in recent times for the wrong reasons. The saying that no news is good news appears quite apt as description of developments in the treasure base of the nation since 2014 when suppressed conflicts between President Goodluck Jonathan and Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, finally bubbled over. The state was to become a theatre of violence for several months - a development that persisted and, possibly, peaked throughout electioneering and balloting.
