Retired Lieutenant Deo Kamya has sued the government for Shs 4.7bn, alleging forced discharge from the army. In his suit lodged at Nakawa High court on May 15, Lt Kamya demands Shs 4.7bn in compensation for serving in the National Resistance Army (NRA), which later morphed into UPDF, for over 20 years and yet he was never allocated an official house and his children never benefited from free army education.
Through Eric-Kiingi & Co. Advocates, Kamya claims that his discharge from the army was premature, unfair and wrong since the army leadership never gave him an opportunity to be heard.
