Analysts have worried that the taxation on internet and communication services in the new budget presented by the Malawi's finance minister Goodall Gondwe is government's attempt to muzzle free speech.
In a comment made when Malawi24 contacted her, social commentator Emily Luwani said that the decision to have internet taxed was simply a way off stopping Malawians from accessing new media sites.
