Ibadan — A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Alhaji Lasun Sanusi, has called on the Oyo State government to, as a matter of urgency, set machineries in motion for the operation and enforcement of Shari'a law in the state.
To this end, the legal practitioner has enjoined the state House of Assembly to formally pass the Shari'a Bill into law to flag off its operation and enforcement among Muslim faithful saying this is desirable in accordance with the provisions of Section 38(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.
