Malawi: NGO Worried With Poor Community Participation in Development Projects

Lilongwe — Centre for Youth Development andSocial Empowerment (CYDSE), a local nongovernmental organization working in Traditional Authority Chimutu in Lilongwe district has attributed poor implementation of most development projects in the area to lack of community participation.

CYDSE Executive Director, Nephtale Chizongo told Malawi News Agency (Mana) that a lot of development projects in the area have come to a halt or have not been properly done, hence his organization decided to embark on a project aimed at sensitizing members of the community.
