Tanzania: 30,000 Refugees From Nyarugusu Now U.S.-Bound

Kigoma — ABOUT 30,000 refugees from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) camped at Nyarugusu in Kigoma Region are set for relocation to the United States of America (USA), Home Affairs Minister Mathias Chikawe said.

The refugees, who have been in the country for about 19 years, will be transferred to the US and other countries. Mr Chikawe made the remarks when he visited Nyarugusu Camp, hinting that the government had no plan to naturalise them.
