Nigeria: Customs Retrieve 10,000 Bags of Rice

Lagos — Customs operatives from the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A in Ikeja Lagos at the weekend engaged suspected smugglers in a shoot-out at Gbaji in Badagry, Lagos.

At the end of the operation which lasted for about 30 minutes, 10,000 bags of rice were recovered from the smugglers who abandoned the boat used in smuggling the items and fled through the waterways, our correspondent said.
