Over 240 households who were evicted from their residential houses by their former employer, Ethio-Djibouti Railway Enterprise, have reclaimed their houses after an intervention was made by the Office of the Mayor of the Dire Dawa City Administration.
Employees of the former railway enterprise, which is now almost defunct, had acquired the residential houses in Dire Dawa's station as part of the pension benefits they were given for their service to the enterprise.
