THE proposed increase in fuel taxes for financing energy and infrastructure projects will in the long run stimulate economic growth and contribute significantly to improved living standards.
The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) Senior Lecturer in Economics, Dr Haji Semboja, said in an interview in Dar es Salaam that: "The idea of collecting revenues to finance rural electrification and infrastructures is commendable and would bring about positive economic growth."
